Today we:
- explored the spiral shape in a book and then experimented with paper and charcoal. We talked about charcoal coming from trees that had been burned. We practiced dispersing the charcoal with our fingers by writing our name on the paper and then trying to cover the entire paper with just the charcoal used in our name
- had snack at the table - grapes, muffins, juice
- added some sea grass to our fish prints
- painted at least two different kinds of leaves and then printed them on a pillow case. We talked about making a pattern using the two different leaves.
- ate lunch in the tree house and then read I Aint Gonna' Paint No More and Click, Clack Moo Cows that Type
- talked about what color our mom wears a lot and then painted a silk scarf those colors. We then placed leaves from the garden on top of the scarf; moved it all into the sunshine; waited for it to dry; peeled off the leaves and looked at the magic that happened!
