Today we:
- explored the yard a bit and said good morning to King Louis (cockatiel) and Copper (dog)
- made pendants out of Fimo clay and used a cedar sprig to make an impression (these will be baked and ready to finish tomorrow)
- made many, many trips into the tree house
- created fairy houses using twigs, seed pods, flowers, fir needles, maple tree bark, rocks, gooseneck loosestrife flowers, hydrangea blossoms, shasta daisies, etc. Ask your artist what every part of their creation is....the middle of a shasta daisy for a lamp; petals for a toilet, a dried leaf for a wall of the house with a flower petal cut into a square for a picture to hang on the wall. The stories they told as they were making the fairy houses were as detailed and incredible as the houses themselves.
- had a choice of four different kinds of muffins for snack along with juice/water/milk/lemonade for snack
- we almost forgot to stop for lunch as we were having too much fun creating the fairy houses!
